About Gerben
Gerben Bekooy is a management consultant, trainer, coach, and speaker with over 20 years of experience. He holds a background in business economics (MBA) and safety management (HVK).
Throughout his career, Gerben has collaborated with more than 100 organizations across different industries and countries, helping them design and implement robust and resilient safety management systems.
Gerben is the author of the Dutch book “Veerkracht” (Resilience, 2023), which was nominated for Management Book of the Year 2024. In 2025 his second book “Meer Veerkracht” was published (More Resilience).
His approach emphasizes Human and Organizational Performance Resilience Engineering, focusing on trust and craftsmanship over mere compliance. Clients value his methods as innovative, invigorating, reliable, skilled, and amiable, often citing the immediate and impactful value he brings.
